Our series of free outdoor physical activities to support your health and wellbeing is returning from March to May 2026.
Outdoor activities have many benefits. Not only is it a great way to get some exercise, enjoy the sunshine and connect with others in the community, but it also does wonders for our physical and mental health.
This year, we’re running our Fit Park series across different parks and outdoor spaces in Boroondara, with options ranging from high to low intensity activities, and across different areas, weekdays and start times, so there’s an option to suit your needs.
All classes take place in a supportive and encouraging environment so no matter your age or ability, everyone is welcome to come along and give it a go.

Fit Park events 2026
MarchEvent: BodyArt Description: A holistic, functional mind and body workout combining strength, flexibility, cardio and breathing. Energetic moves are combined with controlled postures that incorporate strength, internal awareness and balance, giving the program a unique rhythm and flow. Event: Groove Description: A fun dance fitness class that incorporates low/high intensity cardio and strength moves in an easy-to-follow, friendly environment. The class includes simple steps, a variety of music styles and a party atmosphere. It’s guaranteed to get you dancing your way to a fitter you! AprilEvent: Tai Chi Description: A graceful, flowing practice that blends mindful movement, deep breathing, and focused intention to restore balance in both body and mind. Leave each session feeling calmer, stronger, and more centered. Carry a quiet, lasting energy into the rest of your day. When: Every Saturday in April Where:Victoria Park, Kew Time: 10:00am Event: Zumba Description: A combination of fitness and dance moves, choreographed to high energy Latin and international music. MayEvent: Boxing Description: A fun and interactive high-energy class including a variety of boxing exercises, sequences and techniques. Open to everyone, including those who have never boxed before! This class is designed to improve your fitness, strength and confidence in a friendly environment. When: Every Friday in May Where: Central Gardens, Hawthorn Time: 5:30pm
Event: Yoga Description: Move mindfully and deliberately into different poses that work your strength and flexibility. Combined with focusing on relaxation and mindfulness at the same time, you will leave feeling refreshed, strong and free in body and mind.
